Comments
This production launched its tour at the O'Keefe Center for the Performing Arts (now known as the Four Seasons Center) in Toronto on June 6, 1980, then came to Broadway, opening July 8, 1980 at the New York State Theatre. After it closed on August 23, 1980, it continued on tour, and then returned to Broadway, opening November 15, 1981 at the Winter Garden Theatre. It closed January 2, 1982, and went back on tour. Kathleen McKearney was originally slated to play Guenevere; Christine Ebersole replaced her during rehearsals.
