Biography: Elaine Stritch was born on February 2, 1925 in Detroit, Michigan to George and Mildred Stritch. She studied acting at the New School for Social Research. She made her New York debut in a children's play called Bobino and her London stage debut in Sail Away. She married John Bay, who she met during rehearsals for a production of Tennessee Williams's Small Craft Warnings.

Film/TV Credits: Film credits include: "Out to Sea," "ParaNorman," "Autumn in New York," "Romance & Cigarettes," "Small Time Crooks," "Cocoon: The Return," "Cadillac Man," "Screwed," "September," and "A Farewell to Arms." Television credits include: "30 Rock," "Oz," "3rd Rock from the Sun," "The Cosby Show," "One Life to Live," "Wagon Train," "Tales of the Unexpected," "Head of the Class," and "Trapper John, M.D."
