Biography: Annabelle Lyon was born on January 8, 1916 in Mansfield, Massachusetts. She was a member of George Balanchine's American Ballet, and she became an original principal dancer with Ballet Theater (now American Ballet Theater) three years later. She was their first Giselle. She married Julius Borah in 1946, with whom she had her son Joshua.
