Crouse-Hinds Theater - Mulroy Civic Center at Oncenter

411 Montgomery Street, Syracuse, NY, USA
Seats (approximate): 2025

The John H. Mulroy Civic Center at Oncenter is one beautiful facility housing three distinctly different theaters. It can host a diverse variety of events, from stage productions to business meetings. Any type of on-stage presentation will be right at home here: professional, community and experimental theater, concerts, symphony orchestra performances, dance recitals, musical productions, and more. It's also an ideal place to hold convention sessions, meetings, parties, art workshops, film presentations, and lectures. Immediately upon entering the Crouse-Hinds Theater, guests will be struck by the beauty of this majestic venue, with its stunning 60-foot-wide proscenium arch, and the largest stage in upstate New York. There's also an orchestra shell and two-section lift. As soon as the show begins, your audience will appreciate the perfectly engineered acoustics, too. Seating for up to 2,117 is divided into three tiers - orchestra, mezzanine, and balcony - and everyone has a clear view of the stage. For more intimate presentations, the Carrier Theater is the perfect choice. This 463-seat hall features a 57-foot-wide stage. It is appropriate for meetings, lectures, concerts, dramatic presentations, poetry readings, dance, and films. This theater is nicely appointed and comfortable for all types of audiences. For presentations on an even more personal level, choose the Bevard Studio. This 40' x 60' space is a friendly place to hold meetings, recitals, workshops, and more. Bevard Studio easily accommodates up to 162 people. Overall, the three theaters enjoy spacious lobby areas, rehearsal and dressing rooms, and plenty of backstage conveniences. You'll find an abundance of modern audiovisual equipment, lighting, platforms, pianos, and other accessories for use in all theaters. Loading docks are conveniently located, and access to the 1,000 car parking garage is quick and easy. The John H. Mulroy Civic Center Theaters at Oncenter include: Crouse-Hinds Concert Theater, Carrier Theater and Bevard Studio.
