Biography: Sydney Chaplin was born Sydney John Hill on March 16, 1885 in Johannesburg, South Africa. He was the younger half-brother of Charles Chaplin, and his former manager. He starred in comedies in the 1920s. He married Minnie Chaplin and then Henriette Chaplin.

Film Credits include: "Shoulder Arms," "The Pilgrim," "The Rendezvous," "King, Queen and Joker," "The Man on the Box," "Oh What a Nurse!," "The Missing Link," and "Her Temporary Husband."

His last film work was assisting his brother on "The Great Dictator" in 1939.
