Sue Yaeger (full name Bessie Mae Sue Ella Yaeger; May 17, 1912 - January 3, 1998) was a childhood friend of actress Mary Martin. Martin liked to insert her name in her productions for fun (there's a character named after her in South Pacific). The playbill for The Sound of Music credits Sue Yaeger as playing the cameo role of A Postulant; however the role was actually played by Mary Martin's standby Renee Guerin. The real Sue Yaeger never actually appeared on Broadway.
