In 1929, she appeared in the original Broadway productions of Eugene O'Neill's Strange Interlude and William Edwin Berry's The Jade God simultaneously. Strange Interlude had a running time of five hours, and began performances at 5:30pm; the production had an intermission at 7:40pm for dinner. Wycherly only appeared in the first half of Strange Interlude, which allowed her to perform in The Jade God afterwards.
