Biography: Joan Sandy Stein was born in Manhattan on June 7, 1953 to Florence and David Stein. She attended the State University of New York at Albany. Stein was married to Ted Weiant. She became the managing director of the Berkshire Theater Festival in 1982. By 1990, she was the executive director of the Canon Theater.
TV Credits Include: “The Downer Channel” and “The Scholar”
Trivia:
She was working at an East Village restaurant in 1980 when she became a producer on James Lapine’s Off Broadway production of “Table Settings.”
