Biography: Doe Avedon was born Dorcas Marie Nowell on April 7, 1925 in Old Westbury, New York. She married photographer Richard Avedon and then actor Dan Mathews. Shen then married director Don Siegel, with whom she had four children.

Film/TV Credits: Film credits include: "The High and the Mighty," "Deep in My Heart," "Love Streams," and "The Boss." Television credits include: "Big Town," Climax!," "Alcoa Theatre," and "The Ford Television Theatre."

The 1957 Audrey Hepburn and Fred Astaire film "Funny Face" is based on the story of Doe and Richard Avedon.
