Zweibel graduated from University of Buffalo (1972). Television writing credits include "Saturday Night Live" (1975 - 1980), "It's Garry Shandling's Show" (1987), and "Good Sports" (1991). Film writing credits include "The Story of Us", "North", and "Dragnet". Zweibel wrote the play "Bunny Bunny" (Lortel, 1997) and was one of the many book writers for "Diamonds" (Circle in the Square Downtown, 1984).
