Biography: Patricia Neal was born Patsy Louise Neal on January 20, 1926 in Packard, Kentucky. She apprenticed at the Barter Theater in Virginia. She then studied drama at Northwestern University for two years before moving to New York. She became a member of the Actors Studio. She married British writer Roald Dahl, with whom she had her children Olivia, Tessa, Ophelia, Theo and Lucy.

Film/TV Credits: Film credits include: "Breakfast at Tiffany's," "The Day the Earth Stood Still," "A Face in the Crowd," "In Harm's Way," "Ghost Story," "Hud," "The Fountainhead," "Cookie's Fortune," "The Hasty Heart," and "The Passage." Television credits include: "Little House on the Prairie," "Murder, She Wrote," "The Waltons," "Kung Fu," "The Untouchables," and "Movin' On."

Other Awards: Oscar for Best Actress in a Leading Role for "Hud" in 1964. Inducted into the American Theatre Hall of Fame in 2003. Received a star on the Walk of Fame in 2005.
