Biography: Roberts Scott Blossom was born on March 25, 1924 in New Haven, Connecticut. He served in the United States Army during World War II. He directed and acted in productions at Karamu House and the Candlelight Theater in Cleveland. He formed Filmstage, a multimedia avant garde theatrical troupe, during the 1960s. He married Beverly Schmidt Blossom, with whom he had a son, Michael. He then married Marylin Orshan Blossom, with whom he had a daughter, Deborah Blossom.

Television credits include: "Northern Exposure," "Airwolf," "Moonlighting," "In the Heat of the Night," "Chicago Hope," "The Equalizer,' "Another World," and "The Twilight Zone."

Other Awards: Received three Obie Awards for his performances in the off-Broadway plays "Village Wooing" (1955), which was his debut, "Do Not Pass Go" (1965) and "The Ice Age" (1976).
