Paradise Roof Garden

201 West 42nd Street, Roof, New York, NY
Seats (approximate): 600

Hammerstein's roof garden and cafe atop Republic and Victoria Theatres. It began with a small petting zoo (including a cow and a milkmaid), but soon Oscar's son William began hiring novelty and vaudeville acts through European agencies. The Paradise Roof Garden became increasingly sensationalistic until its 1915 demise.
