Description
This elegant theater opened in 1921 during the Vaudeville Era, evolving into one of the country’s most illustrious movie houses as Interstate Circuit’s flagship theater in the 1930s. Located on the edge of downtown Dallas, convenient to downtown hotels and entertainment areas and accessible by DART rail, the theater has been beautifully renovated and restored and is on the National Historic Register. Now owned by the city and operated by Dallas Summer Musicals Management Group, the theater presents musicals, plays, pageants, dance and concerts as well as memorable meetings and special events. An Experimental Theatre seats 100, while the upstairs Terrace Room caters dinner parties and receptions.
