Setting
Anatevka, a small village in Russia. 1905, on the eve of the Russian Revolution.

Comments
This touring production came to Broadway, opening on November 18, 1990 at the Gershwin Theatre. After its final US engagement in Providence, RI in September 1990, the tour went to Japan for a few weeks before beginning Broadway previews on November 3.
