Comments
Halina Bruzovna performed the leading lady role of Madame Lisa Della Robia (usually performed by Gilda Varesi) for one night, April 25th, 1921. She was not an understudy or standby for the role, and Ms. Varesi was neither ill nor on vacation. Rather, the two actresses were old friends, and Ms. Varesi wanted Ms. Bruzovna to have the opportunity to play the role.
