Comments: The orginal production of "Maytime" opened at the Shubert Theatre but was so popular that the Shuberts opened a second company at the 44th Street Theatre. When the two companies toured, the Shuberts billed them both as "entire New York cast". Setting was changed from Austria to America and extra American touches were added to deflect anti-German feelings around World War I.
