On opening night, New York City Mayor Abraham Beaume came onstage and presented Paul Anka with the key to the city.
Paul Anka donated some of the proceeds from these performances to various New York City charities.
This production was originally scheduled to run September 25 - October 5, 1975 at the Palace Theatre, but was postponed due to the musicians' strike.
