A play in nine acts

Setting
The Leeds' home in a small university town of New England; various Evans' homes (a homestead in northern NY State, a rented seashore suburban house near New York, an apartment on Park Ave, an estate on Long Island); the Evans' cruiser near Poughkeepsie.

Comments
The running time of this production was five hours. For opening night, curtain time was 5:15pm; there was an intermission at 7:40pm for dinner. Due to its length, the production could only play six performances a week.

In December 1928, the touring company of STRANGE INTERLUDE played one week at the John Golden Theatre while the Broadway company took a vacation.
