Ms. Wasserstein celebrated women confronting feminism, careers, love, and motherhood. She graduated from Mt. Holyoke and Yale School of Drama. Other works include the plays "Isn't It Romantic", "Old Money", and "Uncommon Women and Others"; the children's book, "Pamela's First Musical" (1996), the screenplay "The Object of My Affection," (1998); and two collections of personal essays, "Bachelor Girls," (1990), and "Shiksa Goddess: Or, How I Spent My Forties" (2001).
