Comments
From 1930-32, Karl Swenson adopted the stage name "Peter Wayne". As a member of University Players (a summer stock company in Cape Cod), Swenson performed as Peter Wayne for the summer of 1931 and the following winter season in Baltimore, Maryland. In the summer of 1932, under its new name The Theatre Unit, Inc., University Players mounted an original production entitled Carry Nation. After its pre-Broadway run in Baltimore, Swenson reverted to his own name for Carry Nation on Broadway.
