Ed Wittstein's career began in the early days of television designing operas for NBC. He designed the sets and costumes for The Fantasticks off-Broadway. He also designed early Woody Allen movies including "Bananas" and "Play it Again, Sam." He was twice nominated for an Emmy award for "The Adams Chronicles."
